Overview

NOTE: ISF starts accepting applications in November for a period of 5 months. The deadline to submit a complete application is typically in late March. About Us ISF is leading the way in placing our recipients in positions that matter in the fields of policy/government, law, film, and media/journalism. Through our comprehensive Cycle of Support, we offer a unique incubator model that provides funding, mentorship, and career counseling, as well as real-world, professional experience through internships and fellowships in our four fields. Our Mission ISF increases American Muslim representation in media and government to improve public policy and public opinion. We believe that the interests of our community can only be protected if we are part of the policy-making process. ISF scholars and alumni across the country and world are ensuring our voices are heard. Our Vision We envision a society where religion, culture, and race are not barriers to equity and equality, where all people are treated with dignity and respect and the voice of every citizen plays an integral role in creating inclusive communities that encourage participation by all. ISF Policy Scholarship Program Since 2009, ISF has awarded 747 scholarships to scholars studying and working in fields with the greatest impact on public opinion and policy, including political science, government, public policy, international relations, and public administration. Policy-related scholarships range from $3,000-5,000. Our goal: to improve negative portrayals of Muslims in the news, increase Muslim representation in policymaking, and invest in the creation of positive and engaging stories about American Muslims. Eligibility

Active member of the Muslim community Enrolled full-time at an accredited university in the U.S. by August; OR employed full-time in an ISF Supported Field and a part-time student at an accredited university in the U.S An undergraduate (junior or senior) or of graduate standing (master's, PhD, or law degree) Studying an ISF-supported major Maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA A U.S. citizen, DACA recipient, or permanent U.S. resident
