ISF Media Scholarship Program Grant

The ISF Media Scholarship Program, established by the Islamic Scholarship Fund, supports American Muslim students pursuing degrees in media-related fields. With scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $5,000, the program aims to enhance Muslim representation in media and policy, counter negative portrayals, and foster positive narratives. Eligible applicants must be full-time students or working professionals in supported majors like media studies and journalism, maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0.

ISF is leading the way in placing our recipients in positions that matter in the fields of policy/government, law, film, and media/journalism. Through our comprehensive Cycle of Support, we offer a unique incubator model that provides funding, mentorship, and career counseling, as well as real-world, professional experience through internships and fellowships in our four fields.
Since 2009 ISF has funded scholars studying and working in fields with the greatest impact on public opinion and policy, including media studies, communications, and writing. Media scholarships range from $3,000-5,000.

Eligibility

Muslim or active member of the Muslim community
Enrolled full-time at an accredited university in the U.S. by August; OR employed full-time in an ISF Supported Field and a part-time student at an accredited university in the U.S;
An undergraduate (junior or senior) or of graduate standing (master's, PhD, or law degree)
