What We Do The Community Foundation is a repository for more than 700 charitable funds worth more than $50 million. Each of these funds was created by donors to enhance the quality of life in Southern Wisconsin. We service these funds by managing the investment, encouraging and supporting additions, overseeing the disbursement of grants and scholarships, and managing the requisite government paperwork. The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin serves communities in nine Southern Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, and Walworth. We provide services to donors, non-profit organizations, and students in each of these counties. Iowa-Grant Educational Foundation The Iowa-Grant Educational Foundation Fund (IGEF) provides private resources for the support the Iowa-Grant School District. Grants from IGEF to the Iowa-Grant School District support innovative and creative educational programming outside of the boundaries of the school district budget. The Foundation also provides scholarships to graduating seniors.The Iowa-Grant Educational Foundation was conceived in 1999 and affiliated with the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin in 2000. IGEF is thankful for the many donations received from community members, IG alumni and friends, businesses and organization. IGEF is led by a board of Iowa-Grant area citizens operating independently of the school district. The volunteer board leads fundraising efforts and determines the annual grant and scholarship awards.
