The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin What We Do The Community Foundation is a repository for more than 900 charitable funds worth more than $90 million. Each of these funds was created by donors to enhance the quality of life in Southern Wisconsin. We service these funds by managing the investment, encouraging and supporting additions, overseeing the disbursement of grants and scholarships, and managing the requisite government paperwork. The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin serves communities in nine Southern Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, and Walworth. Janesville Education Foundation Excellence in Education (EIE) Grants What is an EIE Fund? Excellence in Education (EIE) funds are a means to strengthen our school communities with the use of private charitable resources. EIE funds are awarded for the benefit of school district students and staff. They encourage creative and innovative educational programs, recognize and reward outstanding achievement, and encourage local business, civic and community involvement and investment in schools. EIE funds are community-supported funds that operate independently of school board oversight. All EIE funds are components of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin. Get To Know Us The Janesville Education Foundation (JEF) is a charitable organization whose primary mission is to raise funds, make grants and support educational opportunities for the children who attend Janesville public schools. Incorporated in 1983, JEF is supported by gifts from individuals and businesses. JEF makes grants to Janesville public schools primarily for proposals that show promise of enriching the classroom curriculum through innovation. We want every student to have the opportunity to succeed and become the best in whatever field they choose to pursue.

Eligibility

To receive funding, programs must demonstrate need and potential for effectiveness and impact.
