Status: Active - two-stage application process (LOI then Full Application)

Geographic Scope: Not limited to specific region; SCI focus not required

Focus Areas: Innovative programs that promote active lifestyles and help people with and without spinal cord injuries (SCI) gain access to and independently live their best active lifestyles

Budget: Total budget of $100,000 to distribute among selected applicants

Eligibility & Focus:

Programs do not need to specifically serve SCI populations, but foundation will consider how many people with SCI are currently served or planned to be served

Foundation is seeking innovative and impactful approaches to supporting active lifestyles

No need to convince the foundation about benefits of active lifestyle; focus on innovation and how your project will achieve goals

Programs requesting funding must be viable at the level of requested funding (foundation is open to discussing reduced amounts)

Application Statistics:

Received 50+ Letters of Intent totaling $940,000+

Invited 26 programs requesting $400,000+ total to submit full applications

Selecting from requests significantly exceeding available budget
