Inside Out Education Field Trip Grant Program Purpose The Kentucky State Parks Foundation Education Fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation is pleased to offer grants to K-12 schools to support the cost of student field trips to Kentucky’s State Parks and Historic Sites. The goal of the Inside Out Education Field Trip Program is to extend classroom learning and provide immersive field experiences that align with core curriculum objectives. By utilizing Kentucky’s incredible State Park system as a learning laboratory, the program seeks to enhance the traditional classroom experience and maximize student achievement. Grant Details Funds are granted on a reimbursement basis, pending approval of the application.Maximum amount of grant awarded is $1,000 for a day trip and $2,000 for an overnight experienceReimbursement requires completion of a Grant Report Form within 30 days of the field tripGrant applications are accepted throughout the year and grants are awarded until available funds have been exhausted. Eligibility Any K-12 educator/administrator in Kentucky is eligible to apply for a grant on behalf of their schoolHomeschool collectives that are registered as 501(c)(3) charitable organizations are also eligible to applyEach applicant must have initiated contact with the State Park/Historic Site they intend to visitEach grant request must state the primary education objectives of the field experience, as well as specify the academic standards being addressedEligibility
