The Rheumatology Research Foundation The mission of the Rheumatology Research Foundation is to advance research and training to improve the health of patients living with rheumatic disease. Funding Research We award grants to scientists conducting innovative research that will lead to a future with more options for patients with rheumatic disease to live longer, healthier lives. Advancing Treatment Our programs fund training and mentorship opportunities for medical students and fellows to assist in the recruitment and education of future rheumatologists. We are committed to expanding the workforce in order to provide patients with better access to specially trained rheumatology professionals. Innovative Research Award Supporting innovative research ideas is essential to better understanding rheumatic diseases, their causes and the best way to treat them. The Innovative Research Award provides independent investigators with the funding they need to pursue ideas that could lead to important breakthroughs in discovering new treatments and, one day, a cure.
