The In-N-Out Burger Foundation is committed to supporting children and youth who have experienced child abuse and neglect, and preventing others from facing similar challenges. NEW IN 2026 - Operating on an invite-only basis, we exclusively consider a limited number of requests from organizations that align closely with our mission and serve communities where In-N-Out Burger operates. We are excited to announce that our grant funding range has increased to $10,000–$50,000, enabling us to provide greater support to organizations with strong mission alignment who are long-term partners.The In-N-Out Burger Foundation’s mission is to assist children and youth who have been victims of child abuse and neglect, and to prevent others from suffering a similar fate. The Foundation will only consider requests from organizations that closely align with our mission and that serve communities where In-N-Out Burger does business. The In-N-Out Burger Foundation is happy to consider the following types of grants: Core Grants (Award Range: $10,000–$50,000) Program: Restricted funding to develop, expand, or enhance programs within an existing organization.General Operating Support: Unrestricted funding to support the overall operations and sustainability of eligible nonprofits. Applicants must clearly demonstrate how funding will sustain the organization’s mission and directly benefit children and youth in their care. Note: All programs must align with our mission to be eligible. Capital Grants (Award Range: $10,000–$75,000) Capital grants are awarded on a highly selective basis each year to organizations with an established funding relationship with the In-N-Out Burger Foundation (minimum of two years) and that meet all eligibility criteria. Capital Campaign: Restricted funding for constructing new facilities, renovating or upgrading existing buildings, or supporting special projects that advance the organization’s mission to serve children and youth affected by child abuse and neglect. Capital Purchase: Restricted funding for purchasing equipment, furnishings, or other major assets that enhance the organization’s mission.Only invited organizations currently in our grant portfolio are eligible to apply

Eligibility

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation will consider support for organizations that meet the following criteria:Eligible applicants must be registered as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and have been operating and providing services for a minimum of two years before funding will be considered.The organization must provide support to children and youth who have experienced child abuse and neglect in these focus areas:Foster care/adoption services, prevention and early intervention, court advocacy and legal services, medical and forensic, domestic violence, child and family homelessness, and targeted therapeutic services.The organization must have an annual operating budget of at least $100,000.Applicants should be located in or have programs operating within a county where there is an In-N-Out Burger restaurant.Further Evaluation CriteriaMany factors are taken into consideration in choosing the organizations and programs that will receive funding. These include but are not limited to the following:The proposed program is compatible with the focus of the In-N-Out Burger Foundation, as well as the applicant’s organizational mission.If the proposal is for a specific project, it must effectively address the identified problem or its causes and produce a significant solution.The organization can sustain the program beyond the funding period.Objectives are clear, compelling, measurable, and achievable within the funding period.There is a realistic budget to support the program proposed.We evaluate grant requests through the organization's programs, accomplishments, leadership, and finances. Organizations must be well-managed, fiscally sound, have a developed history, and maintain a record of program integrity. A limited number of requests are granted each year.In-N-Out Burger is currently in 8 states and the foundation will receive grant applications from organizations within the counties where we do business.
