Summary
The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund is inviting child advocacy centers to submit proposals for child sexual abuse prevention programs that align with Erin’s Law as defined by Ohio Senate Bill 288. Priority will be given to programs listed by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, as well as evidence-based initiatives demonstrating effective outcomes in preventing child sexual abuse. Locally developed programs may also be considered but will not be prioritized.Overview
OCTF is seeking child advocacy centers who present a solid proposal to reach children with child sexual abuse prevention programs which meet the tenants of Erin’s Law as defined in Ohio Senate Bill 288. Programs listed under the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s curricula, instructional supports, and resources under Child Abuse Prevention on ODEW’s website will be prioritized (Child Abuse Prevention, Child Lures Prevention: Think First & Stay Safe, Childhelp, Speak Up and Be Safe, Empower Me!, Educate to Protect, Fight Child Abuse, I Can Tell, MBF Child Safety Matters, SPEAK UP, Second Step- Child Protection Unit) as well as other evidence-based and evidence-informed programs that demonstrate outcomes related to the prevention of child sexual abuse. Locally developed programs which attest to meeting the required tenants of Erin’s Law will also be considered but will not be prioritized.Eligibility
