Overview: A venture philanthropy fund that identifies, funds, and supports early-stage nonprofits with innovative models demonstrating great potential for helping Americans take their next step toward Financial Freedom.

Mission: Accelerate the most promising pathways to Financial Freedom for Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Geographic Scope

Currently focused on the Greater Washington, D.C., area, with plans to expand nationally in future funding rounds.

Washington, District of Columbia

Maryland: Prince George's County, Charles County, Montgomery County, Frederick County, Calvert County

Virginia: City of Alexandria, Arlington County, Clarke County, Culpeper County, Fairfax County, City of Fairfax, City of Falls Church, Fauquier County, City of Fredericksburg, Loudon County, Madison County, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park, Prince William County, Rappahannock County, Spotsylvania County, Stafford County, Warren County

Eligibility

• Organization Type: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations only
• Geographic Location: Based in the Greater Washington, D.C., area (initially)
• Status: Early-stage nonprofits with innovative models and large-scale potential
• Application Method: By invitation only (nominations accepted)

Funding Details

Award Amount: $300,000 unrestricted grant distributed over three years ($100,000 annually)

Use of Funds:

Unrestricted grants can be used for both operational and programmatic costs

Funding cannot be used for political campaigns or legislative lobbying efforts

Must further the nonprofit's public mission

Support Provided

1. Unrestricted Grant: $300,000 over three years 2. Operating Support: Access to a dedicated Scaling Partner (expert in nonprofit management) who: - Sits on the organization's board of directors - Works hand-in-hand with nonprofit leadership - Develops and executes an Annual Support Plan tailored to organizational needs - Provides expertise in strategic planning, marketing and communications, and fundraising - Connects organization with The Motley Fool community expertise and outside experts
