Summary

Impact100 Southern Indiana invites nonprofit organizations serving Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties to apply for a grant aimed at fostering transformational change. Overview

NOTE: Organizations that wish to apply for a grant MUST email their intent to apply to be considered for a grant. (See Letter of Inquiry deadline above). Nonprofits are not obligated to apply once an Email of Intent has been submitted. Impact100 Southern Indiana will use the email of intent to determine initial eligibility and to plan for our grant review process. About Impact100 Southern Indiana invites nonprofit organizations that serve the residents of Clark, Floyd, and/or Harrison County to apply for our 2025 grant. The actual amount of the grant(s) will be announced on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Historically our grant amounts have ranged from $50,000 - $140,000. The recipient of our grant will use the funds to support transformational change in one of the focus areas. We define transformational change as: a change in the structure or composition of a program, orthe addition of a new project which has a significant impact on the constituents served by the organization. Focus Areas Impact100 Southern Indiana embraces the national model’s five focus areas: Arts & Culture Education Environment & Recreation Family Health & Wellness All grant applications must propose a project or program that will make a difference in at least one of these five focus areas. Grant Categories We will fund grant projects in one or more of three categories: programming capital expenditures technical assistance/training Examples of projects could include implementing new technologies or utilizing innovative techniques, methods, and/or procedures in the introduction of new services, programs, and/or products. Transformational change creates dramatic improvement in how an organization’s constituents are served.

Eligibility

Organizations eligible to apply for an Impact100 Southern Indiana grant must be:Tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, independent of a financial sponsor (local affiliates may apply under the 501(c)(3) of the national organization).Serving residents of Clark, Floyd, and/or Harrison counties.While your organization does not have to be based in Floyd, Clark, or Harrison County, your project has to occur in and benefit residents of at least one of these counties. If you are located somewhere else, you should make a strong case, ideally with data, for how you serve Southern Indiana with your proposal.In possession of at least three full years (36 months) of independently prepared, audited, or reviewed financial statements.Grant funds can be used over 1 or 2 years as defined in submitted application.Applicants may only submit one application per organization.Applicants may pair with another nonprofit organization to submit a grant application.Determine which organization will be the primary nonprofit submitting the grant application and receive the funding if selected by our members. Both organizations must meet the eligibility requirements.

Ineligibility

Grants will not be provided for:Debt reduction, operating deficits, interim or bridge funding, or endowment funding.Individuals or private foundations.Activities that are religious or political in nature.Fund drives, annual appeals, fundraising events, or general capital campaigns.The grant recipient must not spend Impact100 Southern Indiana funding on any of the following restricted expenses: current operating expenses activities that are religious, controversial, or partisan in nature organizations that discriminate in any waylitigation expensesThe funding recipient will not be eligible to re-apply for Impact100 Southern Indiana funding until two years after the current grant project period has expired.
