IMH: Child & Adolescent Grants

The IMH: Child & Adolescent Grants support comprehensive mental health services in public schools and community settings in Orleans Parish. They prioritize programs that address emotional, behavioral, and learning barriers, fostering a nurturing school climate. The initiative encourages partnerships to enhance accessibility for vulnerable populations and promotes prevention and early intervention strategies. Nonprofit organizations in good standing are eligible for funding, while capital projects and individual funding are excluded.

NOTE: Guidelines will be available to those applicants who are invited to submit full proposals.
IMH is accepting applications for programs providing comprehensive mental health services in public schools and community based programming.
Comprehensive Mental Health Services in Public School Settings
IMH defines comprehensive mental health services as the range of services necessary to address the barriers to learning that many children experience. IMH supports the use of prevention programs to build the social and emotional competence of the entire school population.
Community Based Services
IMH supports efforts to increase the availability of prevention, early intervention and treatment services in community settings. Such efforts might include the co-location of mental health services with other well-utilized services for children and their families. IMH supports the provision of services in locations that are easily accessible to vulnerable populations. We also support the development of partnerships and collaborations between multiple organizations that serve the same population.

Eligibility

IMH funding is limited to nonprofit 501(c)3 programs in Orleans Parish that are in good standing.
IMH funding is limited to programs in Orleans Parish.

Ineligibility

Restrictions:IMH does not fund capital projects.
IMH does not fund individuals.
