IE Black Equity Fund

Geographic Scope: Inland Empire, California

Purpose: Support for Black-led organizations in the Inland Empire

Funding Goal: $5 million to be raised over two years (as of July 2020)

Background: Announced July 14, 2020, by the Inland Empire Funders Alliance and the Black Equity Initiative of the Inland Empire. The fund uses a trust-based model of philanthropy with members of the Black Equity Initiative participating in the distribution of resources.

Governance: Members of the Black Equity Initiative are part of the decision-making process and get to decide how funds are distributed
