Overview
Geographic Scope: Brookline Public Schools, Brookline, MA
Eligibility: Educators currently employed by the Public Schools of Brookline
Focus: Hands-on, experiential learning projects for K-12 students
Purpose: Funding for new, creative classroom ideas that bring hands-on, experiential learning to students. Examples include:
- Fabric arts in pre-K classrooms
- Student-built functional wind turbines
- Student-created zines with writing and artwork
- Outdoor sensory learning projects (mud kitchens)
- Language learning initiatives (improvisation for Spanish language learners)
- Library lending projects
- Cross-curricular projects (music and history collaborations)
Application Process: Online application submission followed by in-person pitches to the grant committee
