Horizons Grants Program - Enrichment Grants

Funder: Salina Arts & Humanities (SAH) Foundation

Geographic Scope: Saline County, Kansas

Program Overview: Smaller Horizons Enrichment Grants are available throughout the year as funds are available. These grants support the presentation of work, study, training, artistic promotion, purchase of equipment, or travel.

    Award Amount

  • Up to $1,000 per grant

    Eligibility

  • Applicants: Any individual artists, nonprofit organization, or local governmental unit in Saline County may apply
  • Individual Artists: Must have been a resident of Saline County for at least one year before the application due date
  • Nonprofit Organizations: Must be incorporated and recognized as tax-exempt by the Internal Revenue Service
  • Unincorporated Groups: Also encouraged to apply by locating an eligible partner to serve as a fiscal agent

    Application Timing

  • Available from February 1 – November 15 each year
  • Deadline: 4 weeks before the start of the proposed project (6 weeks before the start for FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS)
  • Reviewed on a rolling basis from February 1 through November 15

  • Horizons is made possible by private contributions from more than 50 individuals, foundations, and businesses in partnership with the Salina Arts & Humanities (SAH) Foundation
  • The SAH Foundation has provided over $1,000,000 in support of more than 550 Horizons Grants since 1986

Application Process

Availability Window: February 1 – November 15 (annually)

Submission Deadline: 4 weeks before the start of the proposed project (6 weeks before the start for FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS)
