The Horace A. Moses Charitable Trust Mission The Horace A. Moses Charitable Trust was established in 1923 to support and promote quality educational, human services, and health care programming for underserved populations. To that end, we fund academic access, enrichment and remedial programming for children, youth, adults and older adults that focuses on preparing individuals to achieve while in school and beyond.HealthWe fund programming that improves access to primary care and health education initiatives or traditionally underserved individuals. In addition, we manage several foundations engaged in medical research. Human ServicesWe are committed to serving the community by supporting organizations meeting the basic needs of all individuals. Since the human service needs of communities are broad and evolving, we fund a wide array of programming. Our efforts are focused on — but not limited to — youth development, violence prevention, workforce development, life skills attainment and food programs. Guidelines The majority of grants from the Horace A. Moses Charitable Trust are one year in duration. Multi-year support is awarded on occasion.
