Mrs. Hoffman died in 1997, and she was predeceased by her husband, William G. Hoffman. She was a resident of South Orange Village, New Jersey. The William G. and Helen C. Hoffman Foundation awards grants to organizations that benefit the blind or for medical research for the prevention of blindness.
