Overview
Background: Established by Dr. Thomas White and Sandra White in honor of their daughter, Hilary Grace White, who passed away from opioid addiction in August 2017 at age 27. Hilary was a Canisius College graduate (2012, Psychology degree) who was pursuing a master's degree in mental health counseling when she died.
Mission: To raise awareness and improve treatment options for the national opioid crisis, and to honor Hilary's compassion and commitment to helping others.
- First-year student (second semester): $5,000 toward tuition
- Second-year student: $10,000 to complete the program (if recipient remains in good academic standing)
