Heroes of Everyday Life® (Employee Grant)

Honors Sodexo employees who go above and beyond to fight hunger in their communities.

Award Details:

• Selected winners receive a $5,000 hunger-relief grant for a charity of their choice
• Top winners attend the Sodexo Charity Classic (June 3-5, 2026 in Colorado Springs, CO) for all-expenses paid recognition
• Winners are celebrated and recognized nationally for their impact

• Has recognized 169 Sodexo employees as Heroes of Everyday Life®
• Awarded $813,000 in grants to hunger-relief organizations

Geographic Scope: United States

Eligibility:

• Must be a Sodexo employee
• Demonstrable commitment to fighting hunger in the community
• Goes above and beyond in volunteer service with hunger-relief organizations

How to Nominate:

• Anyone can nominate a Sodexo employee Hero
• Nominations are accepted during the annual application period (September 1 - November 1)

Focus Areas:

• Community service in hunger relief
• Direct volunteer work with food pantries and meal programs
• Dedication and sustained commitment to fighting food insecurity

How to Nominate:

1. Download the nomination flyer from the program page
2. Submit a nomination for a Sodexo employee who goes above and beyond to fight hunger
3. Anyone can nominate (colleagues, supervisors, community members, etc.)
4. Provide details about the nominee's hunger-relief work and community impact

Recognition:

• Selected Heroes receive national recognition
• All-expenses paid trip to 2026 Sodexo Charity Classic (June 3-5, Colorado Springs, CO)
• $5,000 grant awarded to hunger-relief organization of their choice
• Celebration at the annual Sodexo Charity Classic fundraiser
