Helen and George Medich and Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education Grant

The Helen and George Medich and Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education, funded by the BayCare Clinic Foundation, supports UWSMPH Medical Students in the WARM program at Aurora BayCare Medical Center. This scholarship provides financial assistance of up to $1500 for students to engage in global health experiences, enhancing their understanding of healthcare in diverse societies while fostering intercultural connections. By participating, students develop essential skills for their medical careers and contribute positively to communities worldwide.

The BayCare Clinic Foundation ("BayCare") Healthcare Scholarship program is designed to assist area students pursuing advanced education in the healthcare sector. By doing so, it is BayCare's hope that more qualified healthcare workers will be available to provide needed services to the community.
Helen and George Medich and Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education
The purpose of the Helen and George Medich and Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education is the encourage the UWSMPH Medical Students enrolled in the WARM program at Aurora BayCare Medical Center to participate in a global health experience during their medical school education by defraying some of the costs of such an experience. A global health experience not only helps broadens the student’s awareness and perspective regarding how health care is provided in other societies, it helps build intercultural bridges with other medical professionals and patients.

Eligibility

This program is designed to provide financial assistance of up to $1500 per year to:A UWSMPH WARM student at Aurora BayCare Medical Center who is seeking to participate in a global health experience, or who has previously participated in a global health experience during medical school.
