Overview

The Heart of the City Foundation Grant, managed by HEART OF THE CITY FOUNDATION INC, supports Christ-centered mission organizations locally and abroad. Since its inception in 1979, the foundation has aimed to address vital community needs, including human trafficking and homelessness, through generous legacy giving. It prioritizes grants that enable organizations to enhance their ministries, initiate new projects, and purchase necessary equipment, fostering a long-lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Note: You can apply for a grant at any time. Our Story
In 1979, a small committee within First Presbyterian Church of Orlando drafted a document that would lay dormant for a time, but that would eventually become the authority for the Heart of the City Foundation. It was designed in the spirit of the early church—starting in the city and moving outward.
The Mission Committee provides grants to Christ-centered mission organizations enabling ministries, both locally and abroad, to demonstrate the love of Christ by addressing vital community needs.
The foundation manages endowed funds, some of which are restricted to a specific purpose. Some of the organizations to which we have made grants work in the areas of human trafficking, homelessness, health care, and leadership development.
