  • Technology-forward solutions to community health challenges

  • Health innovation addressing underserved populations
  • Eligible Applicants:

  • Small tech startups (Entrepreneurial Venture Award)

  • Large, well-established healthcare networks and institutions (Institutional Venture Award)

  • Both entrepreneurs and health systems
  • Target Populations:

  • North Texas students

  • Minority and economically disadvantaged children

  • Rural, impoverished and underserved communities

  • At-risk adolescents

  • Low-income students with chronic diseases
  • Additional Support:
    Entrepreneurial venture winners receive consultative support from the BCBS C1 Innovation Lab, which works with health care startups to broaden the impact of innovative products and services.
