GSSI-ACSM Young Investigator in Sports Nutrition Award The GSSI-ACSM Young Investigator in Sports Nutrition Award recognizes innovative, high-quality research on the impact of nutrition or hydration on exercise physiology or performance outcomes being presented at the ACSM Annual Meeting. Recognized work will be high impact science and may include applied, mechanistic, protocol development or clinical research. All work must have the potential for practical outcomes in the translation of sports nutrition science for sports health professionals and athletes.Eligibility
You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Open to doctoral students enrolled in full-time programs and post-doctoral fellows conducting research in sports nutrition. Applicants must be the presenter of a scientific abstract accepted at the ACSM Annual Meeting. The research presented must be original – not published or accepted for publication, at the time of the abstract submission deadline. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Applicants must be an ACSM national member in good standing before applying and registered for the ACSM Annual Meeting. ACSM chapter membership alone does not fulfill this requirement.Ineligibility
Case studies are not eligible. Applicants cannot apply with the same accepted abstract to both the ACSM and European College of Sport Science (ECSS) awards in the same calendar year. Previous recipients of the GSSI-ACSM Young Investigator in Sports Nutrition Award are not eligible to apply. Applicants directly associated or engaged in any fashion with the Gatorade Sports Science Institute will not be eligible.
