NOTE: Pre-Proposal - Within 30 days of receipt of a pre-proposal, the GWREF will contact the principal investigator(s) with instructions.Full Proposal - Invite Only About Us The Ground Water Research & Education Foundation (GWREF) is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 corporation dedicated to promoting research and education related to the protection of ground water. The foundation is comprised of a board made up of volunteers from government, institutes of higher education, and the public appointed through the Ground Water Protection Council. Our Mission To promote and conduct research, education, and outreach, in the areas of development and application of technical systems, pollution prevention efforts related to ground water protection, underground injection technology, and watershed conservation and protection. Ground Water Research & Education Foundation Grant The Ground Water Research & Education Foundation (GWREF) is fully committed to our values in accepting proposals for groundwater use, reuse, protection, and conservation. For this award there are no general eligibility restrictions and projects will be funded based on the merits of the proposal as they reflect the GWREF values. Values Support the Ground Water Protection Council in the fulfillment of its mission to improve the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of groundwater.Continue to strive to identify and facilitate research in protecting and conserving groundwater resources.Evaluate, implement, and develop education and outreach safeguards designed to increase the level of understanding of groundwater resources.Build partnerships with stakeholders to participate and provide water resources initiatives to share best practices in water management and support the protection of groundwater.Participate in a variety of external organizations and other forums to share and promote best practices in the groundwater spaces we operate.
