Greater Texas Foundation (GTF): Islander Scholars Program Grant

The Greater Texas Foundation's Islander Scholars Program offers financial assistance and support to Texas ECHS graduates transitioning to TAMU-CC. With a focus on underserved students, the program provides scholarships up to $2,000 per year for three years, along with ongoing academic, social, and emotional support. Each cohort accepts 40 students, ensuring personalized guidance through college, including mentorship and professional staff networking, to foster successful degree completion.

Greater Texas Foundation Islander Scholars Program
The Greater Texas Foundation Islander Scholars Program provides students with financial assistance and support systems for three years. These support systems will help Early College High School (ECHS) graduates transition from high school to TAMU-CC, and through bachelor's degree completion.
The program accepts 40 students per cohort and provides them with scholarships depending on each student’s needs. This exclusive opportunity is more than financial assistance throughout their college journey. Students also receive ongoing academic, social, and emotional support to ensure their success.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this grant, a student must:
Be a 2025 graduate of a Texas ECHSBe a Texas residentHave been admitted to TAMU-CC for Fall 2025Plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from TAMU-CCBe eligible to apply for Free Federal Student AidDemonstrate financial need as defined by the U.S. Department of EducationEarned a minimum of 24 college creditsHave a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4-point scale) for college hours completed
