Complete Greater Texas Foundation Islander Scholars Program Application by May 1 Greater Texas Foundation Mission Greater Texas Foundation supports efforts to ensure all Texas students are prepared for, have access to, persist in, and complete postsecondary education. We put particular focus on helping underserved and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. We pursue our mission by forming partnerships, supporting research, sharing knowledge, and making grants. Greater Texas Foundation is committed to education in Texas. As part of that commitment, we work to develop relationships with educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and others involved in education. Greater Texas Foundation Islander Scholars Program The Greater Texas Foundation Islander Scholars Program provides students with financial assistance and support systems for three years. These support systems will help Early College High School (ECHS) graduates transition from high school to TAMU-CC, and through bachelor's degree completion. The program accepts 40 students per cohort and provides them with scholarships depending on each student’s needs. This exclusive opportunity is more than financial assistance throughout their college journey. Students also receive ongoing academic, social, and emotional support to ensure their success.
