Grants for Italian Programs

Funder: Italian American Committee on Education (IACE), under the supervision of the Consulate General of Italy in New York

Geographic Scope: Public and private schools in the consular jurisdiction of:

• New York
• New Jersey* (excluding counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, Salem — these fall under Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia)
• Connecticut

• September: Schools can apply by filling out the online Application form
• Fall: Grant proposal undergoes review by IACE Board of Directors, Consulate General of Italy in New York, Embassy of Italy in Washington DC, and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Winter: Deadline to submit IACE institutional membership ($150 annual fee)
• By July: IACE will reimburse all awarded schools via wire transfer

Application Process

1. Complete the online Application form (available only online, submitted in September)
2. Proposal Review (Fall):
   • Reviewed by IACE Board of Directors
   • Reviewed by Consulate General of Italy in New York
   • Reviewed by Embassy of Italy in Washington DC
   • Reviewed by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
3. Submit IACE Institutional Membership (Winter deadline):
   • Pay $150 annual fee to become institutional member
4. Receive Reimbursement (By July):
   • Award amounts distributed via wire transfer to school/district account
