Organization: Nantucket Education Trust (NET), a 501(c)(3) non-profit community organization

Geographic Scope: Nantucket, MA and Nantucket Public Schools

Mission: NET's mission is threefold:

To generate private support for public education on Nantucket

To foster private and public partnerships that benefit the children of Nantucket Public Schools

To honor excellence in teaching and learning

Funding Focus

NET supports a variety of grant programs throughout the Nantucket Public School system, including:
• Classroom and extracurricular projects
• Mini grants to teachers and staff for professional development
• New sports programs
• Preschool education
• Year-round programming initiatives
• Educational partnerships and community programs

Important Notes

• Applicants must check with their school principal before applying to ensure funds are not already available from the school system
• Grant recipients are required to complete a short follow-up survey
