Overview

Grand Lodge Scholarship Program

Purpose: Aid students in furthering their education

Overview: The Grand Lodge Scholarship, originated by Past Grand Master Ernest C. Jackson, is awarded to one lodge in each of the 3 Areas that has claimed the Traveling Gauge and accumulated the most miles during the specified period.

Award Details:

  • Amount: $2,000 per winning lodge

  • Recipients: Lodges that qualify receive one $2,000 scholarship to be awarded to a graduating high school graduate of their choice

  • Award Presentation: Winning lodges receive a plaque of achievement at the Annual Communication
  • Eligibility:

  • Lodge must claim the Traveling Gauge

  • Lodge must accumulate the most miles in their respective area

  • Award period: October 18, 2023 - May 1, 2024 (original cycle); subsequent cycles follow similar timeframes
  • Geographic Scope: Kentucky (3 Areas)

  • Last date for claiming the Traveling Gauge: October 1, 2024

  • Final day for awarding scholarships: May 31, 2024

  • Lodge presenting the Gauge to Annual Communication
  • Purpose of Program: The program encourages Masonic visitation and fellowship. Lodges earn eligibility by visiting other lodges and promoting fraternal fellowship.
