Overview: OICF's bi-annual GiveOrcas Campaigns are a way to build awareness of local nonprofits and raise funds to support programs that make Orcas a stronger and more resilient community. The campaigns are a collaborative effort between OICF, island nonprofits, and the community.

- Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
- Must serve the Orcas Island community
- Previous grant recipients include a wide range of organizations including education, arts, health, social services, environmental, and community support organizations

- Environmental and conservation initiatives

- Affordable housing initiatives

- Animal welfare
- Community facilities and improvements
What They Fund
Based on past recipients, funding supports:- Grant recipients must submit a final report when the project is completed
- If difficulty spending funds within the allotted timeframe, nonprofits must notify OICF in writing within six months
- OICF will work with organizations to ensure funds are used appropriately

Application Process
1. Wait for Campaign Opening: Applications are only accepted during active GiveOrcas campaign periods

3. Submit Application: Complete application during the open campaign period
4. Grant Approval: OICF reviews and vets all grant proposals
