George French Moss was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended Wauwatosa East High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Southern Methodist University and later attended law school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing his education, Mr. Moss returned to the metro Milwaukee area to join his family’s business, Western States Envelope Company. Mr. Moss spent his entire career at Western States Envelope, originally working alongside his father George B. Moss, then serving as company President from 1975 to 1997, and thereafter serving as Chairman of the Board up until his death in 2019. Throughout his life, Mr. Moss was an active participant in many charitable endeavors. Upon his death, this Foundation was created and established for the benefit of US charitable organizations, with a special emphasis on organizations primarily serving residents of the greater Milwaukee area.
