The Garden Club of Allegheny County (GCAC) was founded in 1914 by a group of men and women passionate about gardening, horticulture, conservation, and civic planning.

Grant Requests

GCAC awards grants based on community needs, membership interests, and the availability of GCAC’s resources or ability to attract these resources. In the past 21 years, GCAC has raised more than $2 million through PIZZAZZ proceeds to fund these grants.

Your application must fit within the objectives of GCAC:

* To promote greater knowledge of horticulture
* To stimulate interest in conservation and/or historical preservation
* To encourage community environmental education
* To support participation in civic planning and planting programs
* What would be the benefits of the project to GCAC members?

Eligibility

* GCAC will only accept grant requests in line with its mission statement.
* The mission of The Garden Club of Allegheny County shall be to promote greater knowledge of horticulture, stimulate interest in conservation and historic preservation, encourage community and environmental education, and participate in civic planning and planting programs.
* Applicants must be registered as a 501c3 organization.
* All grant proposals must be sponsored by a current member of The Garden Club of Allegheny County.
