Mission The Mary Moody Northen Endowment is a charitable foundation which awards grants to support environmental, social service, educational and historical projects benefitting people and institutions in Virginia and Texas. Galveston Community Impact Grants Goals The Endowment Board of Directors has expressed its collective interest in considering grants that enable an organization to purchase equipment, furniture and fixtures, supplies and materials essential to the delivery of services and/or accomplishment of its mission. Additionally, the renovation of facilities and/or improvement of energy efficiency of facilities are of particular interest to the board. The Endowment’s Board has expressed interest in supporting specific programs within an organization’s operation. Any request for this kind of funding should include a detailed itemized list with pricing of items requested for the program budget. The board will take into consideration whether a request leverages funds not otherwise available to the organization as well as cooperation with other organizations to serve shared clients.

Maximum Request: $20,000 per organization per calendar year. Please be mindful that the Endowment also welcomes requests for smaller amounts.The organization may submit two GCI applications until it reaches the $20,000 funding cap; Application for Galveston Community Impact grant program does not prevent applying for other MMNE grant programs in the same year. The non-profit organization is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff, contractors, and vendors hired through grant funds.The non-profit organization is responsible for submitting an itemized final grant report due within one year of receipt of the grant funds.
