Four kinds of project designs are eligible:
A. Research Projects: Rigorous systematic investigations answering research questions, including but not limited to:
B. Clinical Projects: Seeking to improve galactosemia care through development of tools that may augment care delivery, including but not limited to:
C. Educational Projects: Designs or implements relevant educational programs, develops educational materials, or develops innovative educational tools for patients and the community
D. Collaborative Meetings: Funds collaborative meetings among professionals that may lead to future research projects
Grant Structure
Two-Stage Process:
Funding Amount
Grants generally are between $10,000 and $50,000, depending upon the scope of the research, clinical, educational, or collaborative project. Grant amounts are dependent on the amount of money available in the Galactosemia Foundation Research Fund.
Grant Duration
Once awarded, the grant is for 1 year from time of receiving the awarded money.
