Program Description: United Way of the Mohawk Valley invites local agencies to apply for funding to support initiatives that align with the organization's mission. The program operates on a biennial cycle, with successful applications funded for a two-year period.

Mission Alignment: Programs must address one or more of these focus areas:

Health & Wellness

Economic Stability

Community Responsiveness

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Organizations:

Non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations

Government agencies

Faith-based organizations

Open to both new and previously funded programs

Program Requirements:

Must deliver measurable outcomes in one of the three focus areas

Must have a concrete start date or already be in operation

Must demonstrate how programs address community needs

Must drive measurable outcomes

Ineligibility/What Is NOT Funded

• Capital projects
• Sports programs
• Performance and art classes
• Entrepreneurial ventures
• Services that are duplicative of existing services

Funding Details

Current Cycle Status: The 2025-2027 Funded Partner Application period (May 1-31, 2025) is now closed

Funding Period: Successful applicants funded from July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026

Multi-Year Funding: A second year of funding (2026-2027) will be offered to programs that achieve their outcome objectives in the first year, contingent on UWMV's 2025 fundraising campaign success

Note: Two-year funding extension is not guaranteed.
