Fund Grants Through Donor Advised Funds

Geographic Scope: Global (grants can be awarded to any qualified organization on the planet)

Description:
Grants awarded through an individual's or organization's Donor Advised Fund to any qualified organization. These are not competitive grants but rather recommendations made by fund advisors to qualified nonprofits of their choosing.

Eligibility:

• Fund advisors with Donor Advised Funds at the Foundation
• Grants can support any qualified 501(c)(3) organization worldwide
• No geographic or mission restrictions beyond IRS 501(c)(3) qualification

Process:
Fund advisors submit grant recommendations to the Foundation's Grants Committee using the Grant Recommendation Form. The Committee reviews recommendations to ensure they align with Foundation purposes.

Grant Recommendation Process

Fund advisors use the Grant Recommendation Form to request distributions from their Donor Advised Fund.

Required Information:

1. Advisor Name: Full name of the fund advisor
2. Fund Name: Name of the Donor Advised Fund
3. Recipient Organization Details:
   • Name and address
   • Phone number
4. Grant Amount: Suggested distribution amount
5. Signature and Date: Advisor signature acknowledging:
   • Final judgment rests with Grants Committee
   • Distributions must align with Foundation purposes
   • No legal obligation or expected goods/services in return

Submission Format: Physical form or electronic submission

Processing: Grants Committee reviews all recommendations for compliance with Foundation charitable purposes before approval.
