Overview

FSSS Early Career Scientist Award This award is selected on the basis of scientific merit and outstanding demonstration of leadership and service to the scientific/toxicology community and is given to SOT members engaged in the field of food safety, including areas such as nutrition, supplements, food contaminants and food packaging. Applicants must be early career scientists, including postdoctoral fellows, in food safety or related areas and be within 10 years after completion of their highest degree at the deadline for submission of applications for this award. Applications are selected based on the scientific merit and outstanding demonstration of leadership and service in the Food Safety community and given to an SOT member actively engaged in this field. One awardee will be selected and will receive $2,000 and a plaque. The award winner will be announced during the FSSS Reception during the SOT Annual Meeting.
