Overview

Free Fall Baltimore Grant Program

Overview: A citywide celebration held in conjunction with National Arts and Humanities Month each October. Provides grants to individual artists, arts organizations, and venues to produce free arts and cultural events open to the public.

Geographic Scope: Baltimore City

Focus Areas:

  • Free arts & cultural events

  • Concerts, dance, theater performances

  • Festivals, lectures, workshops

  • Art exhibitions and special events

  • All disciplines welcome
  • Eligibility:

  • Individual artists/creatives (events must be free, open to public, in public space or Baltimore City venue)

  • Small arts & cultural organizations with annual operating budget under $300,000 (events must be in Baltimore City, free and open to general public without contingencies)

  • Large organizations ($300,000+ budget) may participate by registering events but are NOT eligible for grant funds
  • Event Requirements for Large Organizations:

  • Occur within Baltimore City limits October 1-31

  • Provide outreach to young adults, families, and/or underserved audiences

  • Free and open to public without contingencies

  • Accessible to those with physical limitations

  • Applications Close: Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EST

  • Grantees Notified: Friday, August 29, 2025

  • Contracts and Final Details Due: Friday, September 12, 2025

  • Marketing Materials Pickup: Tuesday-Thursday, September 16-18, 2025 (at BOPA, School 33, and Bromo)

  • Funding Dispersed: Week of September 15, 2025
