Foundations in Community Coalition Development RFP

Overview: A learning community where community coalitions engage with peers and receive ongoing coaching support and technical assistance to strengthen local efforts by building effective coalition infrastructure and community capacity across Ohio.

Funder: Prevention Action Alliance (PAA), in collaboration with Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services

Award Amount: $3,000 flexible learning stipend per participating coalition as an incentive to participate

Geographic Scope: Ohio-based community coalitions only

Eligibility

• All Ohio-based community coalitions are eligible
• Up to 8 coalitions will participate
• Late applications will not be reviewed

Key Dates (Past - Program was in 2025)

• Request for Proposal Released: Wednesday, March 5, 2025
• Application Deadline: Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 5PM EST
• Applicant Notification: Wednesday, March 19, 2025
• Final Report Due: Friday, June 27, 2025 at 5PM EST

Scope of Work Requirements

• Participation: At least 2 and no more than 4 coalition members must participate
• Consistency: Same 2 individuals must attend all learning community sessions for continuity
• Flexibility: Case-by-case exceptions for personnel changes with pre-approval
• Commitment: Approximately 6 virtual 2-hour interactive meetings plus 1 in-person celebration event (June 2025)
• Mandatory Attendance: Learning community meetings are mandatory with minimum 2 attendees per session

Program Components

• Virtual training and coaching sessions (dates/times scheduled April-June 2025)
• Three products to complete during program
• In-person celebration session (June 25, 2025)
