Purpose: Long-term systemic efforts focused on specific social issues. These efforts are initiated, led, and monitored closely by the Foundation.

Characteristics

• Long-term: Focused on systemic change
• High Involvement: Significant board and staff involvement
• Outcome Evaluation: Include rigorous outcome evaluation
• Policy Focus: Target policy change leading to improved funding and systemic impact
• Strategic Alignment: Directly linked to Foundation's strategic goals

Implementation

• Initiatives are developed and led by the Foundation itself
• Not open for general applications
• Organizations may be invited to collaborate based on Foundation's identified needs

Geographic Scope

• Primary: Stark County, Ohio
• Secondary: Carroll, Holmes, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties in Ohio

Strategic Alignment

• Directly linked to the Foundation's strategic goals
• Part of 2024-2026 Strategic Plan implementation
• Focused on addressing root causes of poverty
• Emphasis on youth and family
• Measuring outcomes and community impact
