Overview
FORTIFY Teacher of the Year Scholarship
Funder: Fortify Foundation
Purpose: Recognizing teachers from Fortify Foundation's partnered schools that embody excellence in Christian education.
Geographic Scope: Fortify Foundation partner schools across the United States
Award Use: The scholarship must be utilized for a teacher-led project that will directly enhance the classroom experience. If the terms cannot be met due to unforeseen circumstances, the grant will be allocated to the endowment fund of the school's choice.
Eligibility Requirements
- Nominee must be a K-12 teacher (including elective, secondary, or enrichment courses)
- Nominee must have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience (may be cumulative from previous employments)
- Nominee must be contracted to the school for the next school year
- In accordance with Proverbs 22:1, the teacher must have a good reputation with staff, students, and school families
Important Notes
- Fortify Foundation must award all scholarships directly to a non-profit organization (the school)
- Only K-12 classroom teachers are eligible; support and administrative staff are not eligible for this specific award
