• Fund projects whose learnings will inform actions designed to speed a transition of the food system to one that does not rely on animals
• Support research on Balanced Proteins (BPs) - meat products that preserve/enhance taste while diversifying nutritional profile and reducing environmental impact by replacing at least 30% of animal ingredients with alternative proteins or whole plant-based foods
• Address knowledge gaps in food system transformation
