About Us The Folsom Garden Club is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization welcoming anyone interested in our objectives. The mission of our Club is to educate and foster relationships among people who have a love of horticulture and to promote beautification of the City of Folsom. The Folsom Garden Club was established in 1934.Speakers at monthly meetings, field trips, and other activities help to educate members about gardening. The club is a member of these hierarchical garden club organizations: Sacramento River Valley District, California Garden Clubs, Inc., Pacific Region Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc. Folsom Garden Club: College Scholarships The Folsom Garden Club is offering scholarships for each academic year beginning in the Fall at the following levels: College, University or Junior College Full-Time 12-15 Units: $1,000 – $5,000 ScholarshipsPart-Time 6-11 Units: $500 – $3,000 Scholarships Application Package is due by April 15th each year.Eligibility

Applicant must be a California resident and one of the following:A resident (permanent home address) of Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado or Yolo County.A temporary resident in Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado or Yolo County attending a college or university within these counties.Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in order to apply.Applicant must be a college student who will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year at an accredited college or university. Freshmen may apply for their Sophomore year.Applicant must be majoring in: HorticultureFloricultureLandscape Design BotanyForestryAgronomy Conservation Plant PathologyEnvironmental Concernsand related environmental fields and/or other closely related subjects.Renewal: Scholarships may be considered for renewal on a yearly basis provided the student reapplies, remains in a Horticulture related field of study, is in good academic standing, and continues to meet the FGC Scholarship criteria.Scholarship funds shall be used for tuition, books, or other school related expenses.Focus Areas & Funding Uses
