Florida Job Growth Grant Fund

An economic development program designed to promote public infrastructure and workforce training across the state. The program supports strategic investments in public infrastructure and workforce development to attract businesses, create jobs, and promote economic growth.

Geographic Scope: Florida (statewide)

Focus Areas:

• Public infrastructure improvements
• Workforce training initiatives
• Projects that support existing and attract new businesses
• Manufacturing and industrial park development
• Utility infrastructure upgrades

Eligible Applicants:

• Cities
• Counties
• Local communities
• Regional economic development organizations

Award Process:

• Proposals reviewed by Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI)
• Chosen by the Governor
• Designed to help meet workforce or infrastructure needs in the awarded community

Recent Activity (2019-20):

• $40 million in awards available for projects
• Since July 2019, DEO and EFI received 89 proposals requesting over $286 million
• Nearly $186 million awarded to 57 communities since program establishment
