Florence Foundation Grants

The Florence Foundation Grants support educational, scientific, and charitable initiatives, focusing on Texas-based 501(c)(3) organizations, especially in Dallas County. Established in 1956, the foundation has awarded over $3 million to assist in various areas including public education, scientific research, and community welfare. Grants range from $5,000 to $50,000, with a preference for projects that address significant social issues and enhance community well-being.

From the little acorn comes the mighty oak: From the original small investment of $5,000, The Florence Foundation has bestowed an excess of $3 million during the past 50 years.
For providing scholarships or otherwise assisting worthy young men and women, of limited means, in obtaining an education
For providing facilities for public recreation
The Florence Foundation will review grant requests for the following types of grants:

• capital campaignsprograms and special projectsfinancial aidendowment campaigns

Grant amounts will range from $5,000 to $50,000. Most grants will be one year in duration

Eligibility

Grants are awarded to qualified 501(c) (3) charitable organizations in the state of Texas, with preference given to organizations located in Dallas County and contiguous counties. Trustees may occasionally make discretionary grants outside of the stated geographic area for which unsolicited applications are not accepted.Due to the limited amount of grant dollars available to distribute each year, applications will only be accepted from organizations with annual operating budgets of less than $20 million.

Ineligibility

Contributions are not made to or for debt retirement, media productions or publications loans.
