Grant funds received may NOT be used by a grantee for any of the following purposes:to carry on propaganda or otherwise attempt to influence legislation, to influence the outcome of a public election, to carry on a voter registration drive; to make a grant that does not comply with Section 4945(d)(3) or (4) of the Internal Revenue Code (the “Code”) regarding grants to individuals for travel, study or similar purposes or grants requiring expenditure responsibility; as security or a source of payment for the debt services on municipal securities or repayments on municipal bonds; or to fund or finance any activity for any purpose other than charitable or educational purposes stated in Code Section 170(c)(2)(B).Who is Not Eligible:Individuals. Churches and religious organizations, though non–denominational programming administered by such organizations will be considered (e.g., food pantries, after school programs, housing initiatives, etc.). Publicly supported entities such as public schools, government, or government agencies. Public or private K–12 schools. Supporting organizations designated 509(a)(3) by the IRS.
