Geographic Scope: Merrimack Valley region

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a resident of the Merrimack Valley
• High school seniors, OR
• Students currently enrolled in a college program
• NOT eligible: Relatives of Methuen Festival of Trees Board of Directors

Selection Criteria:

• Strength and quality of essay
• Activities and community service
• Grades and academic qualifications
• Financial need

Preferences Given To:

• Students pursuing studies in historic preservation or related disciplines
• Students with a history of volunteering at the Festival

Application Process

1. Obtain Application: Request scholarship application from the Festival of Trees or download from website
2. Required Materials:
   • Completed application form
   • Essay (strength and quality of essay is a selection criterion)
   • Academic records/grades
   • Information about activities and community service
   • Financial need documentation
   • Volunteering history at the Festival (if applicable)
3. Submit By: Applications must be submitted by the announced deadline (specific dates vary by year; historically deadlines have been in May)
