Purpose: Support residents who, through no fault of their own, have outlived their resources.
Background: The Fellowship Fund was made possible through an initial generous gift of $250,000 from the Episcopal Diocese in 1984 to create an endowment for the fund. The Fund was launched in 1984 with a $200,000 grant from the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, and continues to operate as an endowed fund with the principal retained and invested; earnings are used to provide assistance to residents.
