We aim to use our resources strategically and equitably, allocating more of our resources towards parts of our community that have the most need. We work so that all aspects of our community support the conditions required for health, well-being, and equity. Rapid Response Grant Our Rapid Response Grant Program supports the emergency and/or time-sensitive needs of organizations whose work aligns with the Foundation for Community Health’s mission and funding priorities. Please note, the Rapid Response Grant Program was created to respond to Emergency and Time-sensitive opportunities aligned with the funding interests of FCH. We define Emergency and Time Sensitive as the following: Emergency: the unexpected and unplanned event or situation that requires an immediate and time-limited response Time Sensitive: an opportunity that is short-term in duration Funding From this past year, the total amount of funds available to this program is less than $5,000.

We fund:Eligible organizations must be 501(c)3 organizations OR initiatives with a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor who serve one or multiple towns within FCH’s community that have alignment with the foundation’s funding interests. State and municipal agencies are also eligible to apply.Organizations or initiatives consistent with the mission, vision, values, and funding priorities of the foundation.Foundation for Community Health serves a rural 17-town region where northwest Connecticut and the Greater Harlem Valley meet.Organizations or projects need to benefit residents in our geographic area

Ineligibility

We do not fund:Organizations or projects that do not benefit residents in our geographic area Individuals, Endowments, Private Foundations, Service Clubs or Membership Organizations Fundraising events, including direct mail campaigns Debt retirement, operating deficits, or after-the-fact support Programs by faith-based institutions that have a spiritual and/or theological component Organizations or projects that unlawfully discriminate with regard to employees, volunteers, delivery of programs or services, or clients served based on age, sex, religion/creed, race, color, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, marital status, military or veterans’ status, pregnancy, genetic information or any other basis
