Focus areas In general, organizations seeking grants from the Foundation should align with one of our primary focus areas: Education: Supporting Catholic schools and religious education programs for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.Leadership development: Forming leaders for parishes, schools and agencies who can engage others in creating a vision, strategies and infrastructures to advance the church.Community-building: Supporting initiatives that strengthen families and parishes and help those suffering from poverty, discrimination and violence.

Other tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations whose missions are consistent with that of the church may also apply.Area served:The majority of a fund’s grants should be directed to the 10 counties of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Dodge, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac.Types of Grants:The Catholic Community Foundation awards grants for limited-term projects and programs.

Ineligibility

We rarely fund multi-year grants or make capital and endowment grants; do not provide emergency funds; and depending on circumstances, may choose not to award grants to an organization for more than two consecutive years (except for health care services grants from the St. Anthony Fund).
