The California Tobacco Control Branch The California Tobacco Control Branch leads statewide and local health programs, services and activities that promote an environment truly free of tobacco. EVAL 25-10023 California Tobacco Retail Environment Studies Purpose The purpose of this Solicitation is to request competitive proposals from eligible, experienced agencies to conduct high-quality studies and maintain monitoring tools to evaluate California’s tobacco retail environment including: Two waves of a biannual survey of randomly sampled tobacco retail stores to assess tobacco retail marketing, availability of tobacco products, and tobacco prices.One wave of retail observation surveys or tobacco product purchase surveys in matched and/or contiguous communities to evaluate state and local policies that restrict flavored tobacco sales or ban tobacco product sales.One wave of retail scanner sales data analyzed to assess changes in tobacco product availability and sales in California.Maintenance of the CTHAT tobacco retailer mapping tool. Services include developing sampling frames, developing data collection instruments, data collection, data management, data cleaning and weighting, data analysis, writing final reports, managing mapping information, updating mapping information, testing user experience, providing technical support, and disseminating major findings.Eligibility
